About Ekjut

Ekjut is where people who care about Nepal come to build.
United through shared work
Ekjut (Nepali for “united”) is a new, independent, global coalition of people who care about Nepal and want to act on its most difficult problems.
It is three things at once: a coalition, a lab for experimenting with and building solutions, and a membership network that helps people find each other, join or start projects, and gradually feel Ekjut — united — through shared work and impact.
Nepal-focused, globally connected
The work is grounded in Nepal’s problems, institutions, and communities. Members can be located anywhere in the world as long as they have a meaningful tie to, and intention toward, Nepal.
Ekjut exists to create a place where people who care about Nepal can build, test, and scale public-interest solutions together.
Help shape the beginning
Ekjut is currently in the ideation and design phase. The architecture, values, and initial tracks are being clarified.
Ekjut is a new entity, independent from any existing organization. Every project must have a defensible public-interest rationale in and for Nepal.
What we will not do

- No work without a real public-interest rationale
- No partisan ownership
- No extractive or brand-washing partnerships
- No closed, status-driven network culture
